This 45-min Mat Pilates class more closely aligns with the classical order and exercises as taught by Joseph Pilates. Pilates builds long and strong muscles and gives you those feel good endorphins to fire up your week. A wonderful complement to your yoga practice, pilates challenges our muscles and endurance, while focuses our attention on our breath and postural muscles surrounding our core. Explore pilates props like the magic wheel, light-weights, sliders, and resistance bands.

A relaxing candlelit slow flow to soften your mind and body at the end of the day. We hold only seated or supine postures for about 5-10 minutes and soften into deep muscular and mental relaxation. Utilize studio props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support deep, expansive stretches.

PRIVATES @ VITAL CLIMBING GYM 

I offer private yoga and Mat Pilates classes at Vital Climbing Gym - West Harlem. Please click here for more information! Yoga and pilates private classes are a great option for beginner, injured, or post/prenatal students. I recommend coming for 1-3 private sessions before joining group classes to learn modifications for your body and feel confident and empowered to join the class and modify properly and safely. Privates are also an excellent option if you're looking to deepen your practice, or if you're feeling "stuck". Let's work through it together.

THERAPEUTIC YIN YOGA +
SOMATIC MINDFULNESS

I offer both in person and online therapeutic Yin yoga + somatic mindfulness. Either 1-1 or in a small group, I guide you through a series of Yin postures (relaxing, deep stretches), and invite you to focus on the somatic mindful experience of deep stretch sensation. We may also focus on mindful breathing if applicable. This therapeutic practice of yoga is suitable for all bodies, ages, and levels of flexibility/fitness. It is effective as a complementary treatment when used in combination with psychotherapy for emotional regulation, self-soothing, and recovery. Therapeutic Yin yoga and somatic mindfulness is especially helpful, in combination with psychotherapy and psychiatry, for those on a recovery journey through eating disorders, AA, NA, and OA. I work with private clients and small groups in person in Manhattan, online, as well as mental health recovery facilities.
